We recently had the chance to connect with Ian Moore and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Ian, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What do you think others are secretly struggling with—but never say?
I think today a lot of people focus more on how they’re perceived rather than on what truly makes them happy. Success often gets tied to image, status, or how others see us, instead of personal fulfillment. It’s a reflection of the world we live in right now, where social validation can sometimes outweigh genuine satisfaction. I try to remind myself to focus on real growth and meaningful impact rather than just appearances.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Ian Moore — or ‘The Ian Moore’ as I go by on social media — and I’m a content creator, writer, entertainer, and entrepreneur. I’m also one of the owners of Forever Unlikely, a brand built to entertain and inspire people to chase their dreams, no matter how ‘unlikely’ they may seem.
I’ve always had a love for storytelling and content creation, but for a long time I didn’t put myself out there publicly. That changed after I lost a few loved ones, which gave me perspective and pushed me to start pursuing my passions seriously.
Now, I’m focused on growing Forever Unlikely into a homegrown brand that not only entertains but also motivates others to follow their passions, even when the odds feel stacked against them.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
When I was a kid, I wanted to be an author — and honestly, I still do. I’d love to write a book or a novel one day. But as I got older and explored music, comics, film, and other creative outlets, I realized what really drives me is storytelling and entertainment in all its forms. It can take many shapes and sizes, and that excites me. These days, I allow myself to dabble across different mediums, leaning into whatever I feel most passionate about in the moment. So I don’t really believe that I want to be an author anymore, but I do want to still be a story teller.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
It’s definitely crossed my mind at times — whether it’s been while building Forever Unlikely, trying to grow my following, performing on stage, or working on an album. When things get hard, of course the thought of quitting comes up. But quitting has never truly been an option for me.
We’ve faced a lot of internal struggles with Forever Unlikely — creative challenges, scheduling conflicts, financial and even legal hurdles. There have been plenty of moments where I’ve stumbled and thought about walking away. But every time I do, I remind myself of all the hurdles I’ve already overcome. We’ve come too far, and I want it too badly to just give up. So instead, I pick myself up, learn from it, and keep moving forward.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My hope is that my closest friends know how much they matter to me. Their safety, their mental well-being, and their goals are all important to me. I want them to know I’ll always be there for them — whatever it is, whenever it is. And if I ever have something valuable to share with them, they can trust that I always will.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m free from restrictions and can just create. When I don’t have to worry about money, deadlines, or day-to-day responsibilities, and I can fully focus on the things I love — whether it’s writing, music, or content creation. Sometimes even just sitting at my desk and thinking about whats next or what story I want to tell. Those moments, where I can be present in my creativity without limitation, are when I feel truly at peace.
