Today we’d like to introduce you to Javane Nugent
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
So I was a senior in college, two months before i graduated a friend named Mervin Pierre told me about the insurance industry and I decided to listen and also join the industry after a while off learning the basics and how life insurance works I instantly fell in love with it. However starting out as a broker wasn’t easy because you had to promote your self to people but once I got the hang off it I got better and better as time went on I’ve been able to help numerous clients, friends and family attain life insurance and financially secure their lives so nobody would suffer
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No it was not a smooth road in the insurance industry as a broker there are going to be rude clients, people telling you no alot and of course chargebacks they suck. What really hurt was times when I couldn’t help my client due to fact they were so ill at the time they requested insurance and finances was also not to good so leaving a clients house not being able to help them really was one of the biggest struggles

So Nugent Financial is a life insurance brokerage company that specialises in helping clients attain the best policy regardless of their health condition. We have products such as term insurance, whole life insurance, IUL’s and Annuities which are really powerful products. What separates me from others is that I care more about helping the client rather than just sell them a product for a financial gain. What I learned in life is that once you serve someone and truly help them and listen everything else will fall into place. I want the readers to know how important life insurance is especially at a young age and I really want the parents of this era to understand how important getting life insurance for their child is. I’ve seen so many people pass away and use a gofund me to hopefully bury their loved one. Im really proud that I was one of the first in my family to start a business although I have a degree in criminology, psychology and sociology. It separates me from others due to the fact I know how people think and why they think the way they think.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Well networking has helped me tremendously in the business and in life. I’ve met people who helped my business grow which is so beneficial. Also having a mentor who has already went through the struggles and became successful is such a plus they are literally your scroll to success you just have to listen to them and follow their lead
