Inspiring Conversations with John Erysian of Circle of Knowledge Toys

Today we’d like to introduce you to John Erysian.

Hi John, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Started in 1993 as a cart in a mall. Grew to two locations. Presently in Sunset Hills where we have been for 23 years.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Business is never a smooth road. Challenges include rising expenses and internet competition. Pandemic was no fun. Tariffs a temporary setback.
But a commitment to educational playthings and interest with needs of the customer have kept us going strong.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We believe in the premise of learning through play. We try to feature developmental playthings with an eye toward parental involvement. We have recently expanded our book section. We hope to be known for books as well as toys.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
We have been lucky to find a community of supportive repeat customers. We have been fortunate with our dedicated employees.
