Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
From a very young age, I always knew I wanted to care for people. That calling only grew stronger over time. I fell in love with anatomy early on, shadowed nurses throughout high school, and never wavered from knowing the medical field was where I belonged.
At the same time, I always had a love for beauty, skincare, and self-care. Even as a teenager, I was experimenting with all the masks and skincare products, fascinated by how small rituals could make you feel more confident. When I discovered aesthetics, it felt like the perfect blend of science, medicine, and beauty. I truly believe that when people feel good in their skin, it shows in every part of their life.
I earned my BSN and began my career as a registered nurse in the NICU, while also pursuing aesthetics on my own time. I worked long hours, balancing hospital shifts with evenings and weekends at a medical spa, just to get my foot in the door. I was eager to learn, absorb everything I could, and prove myself in a space that wasn’t always taken seriously at the time.
Eventually, I landed my dream position in aesthetics here in St. Louis, then went on to earn my Master’s degree as a Nurse Practitioner so I could fully expand my scope and opportunities. After more than a decade of experience, education, and growth, I took the leap of faith and opened up my very own practice – Racquel Aesthetics in Chesterfield, Missouri. This year, we proudly expanded with our second location, Racquel Aesthetics & Wellness in Kirkwood that also includes our wellness division. Every step of this journey has been fueled by passion, persistence, and a deep desire to help others feel like your best self inside and out.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has absolutely not been a smooth road. I don’t think it ever is for anyone building something meaningful. There were many moments of uncertainty, long nights, financial risk, and starting over when things didn’t go as planned. I truly believe you have to try, adjust, fail, and try again to grow.
Creating RFA Skincare added another layer of complexity. True innovation takes time. We invested heavily in research and development, formulation, and clinical testing, working closely with experts across the country to ensure our products were both effective and safe. Choosing innovation and integrity over shortcuts wasn’t always easy, but it’s what allowed us to build a brand that delivers trust and consistent, meaningful results.

The future is incredibly exciting! I am deeply passionate about regenerative medicine. I truly believe it is the future of aesthetics. We are constantly looking for ways to work with the body’s own natural healing processes in the safest and most effective way possible.
One of the innovations we’re introducing is advanced regenerative technology using a patient’s own cells. This approach allows us to harness the body’s secretomes for skin rejuvenation and healing following treatments like lasers and microneedling. It’s cutting-edge, science-backed, and aligns perfectly with our philosophy of natural enhancement and long-term results.
As we continue to grow, my focus remains on staying at the forefront of the safest, most effective innovation while never losing sight of what matters most: helping people feel confident and cared for.
