I didn’t start my business in boardrooms or by reading business textbooks — I started in living rooms, backyards, and family gatherings.
My journey began by simply helping my sister with children’s parties. Every birthday, every celebration, I showed up to lend a hand — setting tables, decorating spaces, treating each event like it belonged in a storybook. Year after year, our ideas grew bigger. Balloons became themes. Parties became productions. Creativity became passion.
My sister built a beautiful brand known as The Cinderella House, and for years I watched her bring joy to families and children across our community. I didn’t realize it then, but I was being trained — not in a classroom, but hands-on — learning how to turn imagination into experiences.
When she retired, she didn’t just close a business — she passed a legacy. She handed me the torch she carried, the love she poured into her work, and the confidence that I was ready. And in that moment, The House of Elegantz was born.
With a new name came a new vision — elegance, style, personalized detail, and unforgettable moments. What began as helping my sister became owning my purpose. I transformed that passion into a brand dedicated to celebrating life’s milestones with sophistication, creativity, and heart.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of my biggest struggles in the beginning was finding clients who understood the value of what I offered — clients willing to invest in quality, creativity, and the time it takes to make an event truly special. Many wanted the magic without the cost, and I had to learn the art of confidence — standing in my worth, pricing my work fairly, and trusting that the right people would come.
And they did.
Every obstacle became a lesson — about business, about people, and about myself. I learned that purpose is refined through pressure, and passion grows where perseverance lives.
