Jennifer Speiser & James Speiser of Creve Coeur on Life, Lessons & Legacy

Jennifer Speiser & James Speiser shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Jennifer & James, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day are intentionally structured to support mind-body alignment. My husband and I wake early—he always thoughtfully gets things going so I can focus on preparing food and coffee. We head into our facility early, where we walk our dog outside to get natural sunlight exposure and help balance our circadian rhythms. From there, I rotate between our vibration plate and cardio equipment, then spend time in our infrared sauna where I incorporate breathwork, prayer, and meditation. I finish with a cold plunge to invigorate my system. I use this time to mentally anchor my day, reflect, and prepare myself to show up fully for whatever lies ahead.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Jennifer Speiser, a board-certified Nurse Practitioner, Licensed Esthetician, and internationally trained provider. I began my career as a makeup artist and esthetician, which gave me a deep appreciation for the art of beauty—but over time, I was drawn to the science and biology behind it. That passion led me to medicine, where I now get to combine aesthetic artistry with functional healing in the most meaningful way.

Together with my husband Jamie—our CEO and head of fitness and nutrition—we co-founded Precision Life, a fully integrated practice that blends regenerative aesthetics, functional medicine, hormone optimization, fitness, and peptide therapy. We’re approaching 11 years in business, and between us bring over 50 years of combined experience. We’ve built a powerhouse team of passionate, highly skilled professionals who are just as committed to transformation as we are.

What makes Precision Life unique is our full-spectrum, soul-forward approach. We don’t believe in quick fixes or compartmentalized care. We treat the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—so our patients can truly look, feel, and function at their best. From personalized peptide protocols to targeted training plans and advanced diagnostics, everything we do is rooted in evidence, guided by intuition, and delivered with integrity.

We’re also expanding Precision Academy, our educational platform built to train the next generation of providers in this integrative model—because we believe this is the future of medicine, aesthetics, and human thriving. And as we look ahead, we’re excited to expand Precision Life into new areas, including specialized pediatric care and mental wellness—further deepening our mission to support every stage and facet of human health.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world told me who I had to be, I was a girl who loved animals, showed dogs, and found joy in making others feel good. I was drawn to nurturing—whether it was through caring for animals, offering comfort, or simply being present with people. I moved through life with sensitivity, curiosity, and a deep desire to help things heal.

That part of me never really changed. Today, through Precision Life, I get to live that calling every day—combining aesthetics, functional medicine, and wellness to help others feel whole, strong, and aligned. The way I show up now is simply a more refined version of the girl I always was: compassionate, grounded, and deeply committed to helping others feel better in their bodies and in their lives.

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
Like most people, I’ve had moments where I felt abandoned—by others, by circumstances, or even by myself. I’ve made choices that led to shame or regret, and I’ve hit rock bottom. Those moments were pivotal. They forced me to confront parts of myself I would’ve rather avoided and invited me to heal with intention.

One of the most defining wounds came not from a single event, but from the growing pains of building a business and navigating the pressure it placed on my marriage. Jamie and I hit a point where we had to choose: break apart, or break open. We chose the latter. We dove into the deep, often uncomfortable layers—our triggers, our coping patterns, our communication gaps. It was hard, but it was holy.

I believe our wounds are designed to cut deep—not to destroy us, but to form scar tissue that is stronger than unbroken skin. Healing hasn’t been linear or perfect, but it has been honest. And from that place, I now help others do the same: face the pain, find the pattern, and reclaim their power.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What do you believe is true but cannot prove?
I believe there’s no such thing as coincidence. I can’t prove it—but I know it in my bones. The people we meet, the timing of events, even the detours and delays—it’s all part of something bigger. I believe it’s God’s hand at work, constantly weaving meaning into moments we might otherwise overlook. What feels random is often revelation in disguise.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
What I understand deeply—especially in my industry—is that you can’t truly heal or transform someone by treating just one part of them. In aesthetics, medicine, and even wellness, there’s a tendency to segment: skin, hormones, weight, symptoms. But people aren’t compartments—they’re whole beings. Body, mind, and soul are all connected. If you ignore the emotional or spiritual root, you’ll never fully resolve the physical issue. True transformation happens when we treat the entire person—soul and all.
