We’re looking forward to introducing you to Leah Potts. Check out our conversation below.
Leah , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
Stepping into a new realm of my lash business, I now freelance as a lash artist for models preparing for showtime. Whether it’s a small production or a major runway event, I’m usually on-site 4–6 hours in advance, ensuring every model is camera-ready. The pressure of knowing I have a set number of faces to transform before the curtain rises is real but pressure makes diamonds.
I can’t afford to crack under it.
What keeps me grounded is the moment I finish a set, see a model’s face light up, and then witness the full transformation on the runway. That’s when I know — I played a part in something beautiful. It’s more than lashes. It’s confidence, energy, and art, all coming together in the spotlight.”**
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Leah Potts — The Lashologist & CEO of Classey Lashey
As a young girl, I was passionate about inspiring self-love and helping others recognize the power of natural beauty. That passion led me to create Classey Lashey—a brand built on empowerment, authenticity, and enhancing the beauty that already exists in each of us.
Recently, I’ve restructured my business to better serve a diverse community of clients from all ethnicities. With the launch of my new website on August 1st, I’m making it easier than ever for both new and returning clients to connect with me and book appointments seamlessly.
In addition to my one-on-one lash services, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with talented makeup artists and hairstylists in the beauty industry. I specialize in lash applications for models and love working behind the scenes at photo shoots, fashion shows, weddings, and other creative productions. Whether it’s a high-glam shoot or an intimate bridal moment, I bring my passion and precision to every lash.
At Classey Lashey, it’s not just about lashes it’s about confidence, connection, and creating a look that reflects your true self.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
We are all individuals uniquely created by God with our own light, our own path, and our own purpose. Yet in this life, we form bonds—with friends, family, through love, work, pain, and shared experiences. These bonds are sacred, but they require care. They are built on trust, respect, love, understanding, consistency, and accountability. When any of those break, it’s hard to repair what was lost. The bond becomes fragile, sometimes distant.
But I believe what restores it is just as powerful: Time. Honest communication. Real love. And most importantly, prayer and God. Because when God is at the center, healing is always possible.”
What’s something you changed your mind about after failing hard?
One thing I’ve changed about myself especially as a woman is learning to choose me first. For a long time, I was always putting others before myself. My best friend would always remind me that I have a big heart, and that’s true. I used to think I could handle it all—take care of myself while supporting everyone else. But I’ve realized that the energy I gave to others, I could’ve been using to build myself up.
Now, I’m learning that self-love and perseverance aren’t selfish they’re essential. I owe that to myself. I’m watching how I extend myself to others and making sure I leave room to pour into me. Because when I’m full, I can give from overflow not from depletion.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m committed for the long haul. No matter how long it takes, I stay consistent. I never settle, never get comfortable, and never feel like I’ve ‘made it.’ For me, the top doesn’t exist there’s always another level to reach. I’m never complacent. There’s always more work to do, more ways to grow, and more limits to break. I’m built for this.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
I believe you can you will and you should. Praise feels good, of course, but it doesn’t define me. My purpose comes from God, and my faith has never failed me.
I no longer internalize how people feel about me. I used to especially when I was younger. But with growth comes perspective. We’re all human, and no one is better than the next.
So no, I don’t rely on validation to stay true to who I am. I move with purpose, grounded in something greater.
