Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Tiffany Nelson

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Tiffany Nelson. Check out our conversation below.

Good morning Tiffany , it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? Are you walking a path—or wandering?
I am definitely walking a path. This path was designed for me and all I have to do is follow the instructions provided to me. This path has required me to look deep within and pull from the wins and lessons (I don’t lose). It hasn’t been an easy path but anything worth attaining will never be.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Sure! My name is Tiffany Nelson I am an Adult Nurse Practitioner locally. My organization is The Healtcare Taskforce 314. On May 16 a devastating tornado struck the St. Louis Area causing widespread destruction. Homes were leveled, power was lost, and many of our neighbors were left displaced or without access to basic medical care. In response to the crisis I came together with two other healthcare professionals to answer a simple but urgent question: What can we do? From there The Healthcare Taskforce 314 was erected. What began as an emergency response has grown into a movement. We are dedicated to bridging healthcare gaps. It is a long-term commitment to equity, access, and community care. We have served residents across the area through community hubs, local events, and in-home visits.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that most shaped how I see myself is the relationship I had with my mother and grandparents. They instilled in me the belief that anything was possible if I truly believed. They taught me the power of mindset, determination, and self-confidence. It gave me the courage to dream big and push through my challenges. I carry a deep sense of responsibility within myself.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I stopped hiding my pain and start using it as power when I realized someone somewhere may have a similar story that they are too afraid to talk about. My story and my journey can and will help someone. I am ok with being the voice of the voiceless.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that community, honesty, being kind, my close circle (including my sons);and providing education really matter to me.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
If I retired today they would miss my compassion for what I do and they way I provide individualized care.
