Life & Work with Becki Feldmann of St. Charles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Becki Feldmann.

Hi Becki, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started selling jBloom in 2018 after my husband and I struggled with secondary infertility. We had two beautiful boys and wanted to continue to grow our family.

I always said we had more room in our home and in our hearts but it just didn’t work out for us the way we thought.

What bloomed instead was a beautiful connection with ladies around me where I have the opportunity to help them wear and share their stories, build their businesses and cheer eachother on along the way.

Since 2018, I added on permalinx by jBloom (permanent jewelry) in 2023 and this has been an even greater blessing to connect (literally!) with so many amazing women and businesses.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There are ups and downs just like anything but when I focus on my values (faith, community, relationships, family and health) I know I will succeed because I’m not held by my own strength!

Staying in alignment with my values, surrounding myself with the right people and environment and fueling myself with what I need to do my best work is what makes all the difference.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in experiences. Yes I sell jewelry, but it’s so much more than that. It’s community + connection and confidence.

It’s helping you see that you are beautiful just the way you are and there is no time for comparison or judgement – we are all different flowers silly!

It’s learning others struggles and seeing how we can support eachother.

It’s mobilizing friends around needs in the community.

It’s fundraising for causes that are special to me (and my customers!)

And it’s selling beautiful jewelry.

What I love most about my jewelry is the ability to create custom pieces with messages or pictures that makes someone else stop and ask “tell me about that.”

It’s an opportunity for a chance connection – to wear and share your story.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Oh my goodness yes I’ve had so many wonderful mentors in my life.

My parents for sure are the reason I live a life of service. They modeled this even when we were kids. Always take care of people.

And then a past “boss” was one of my favorite mentors. When he retired he gave me a bookmark that said “ don’t ask yourself what the world needs, ask yourself what makes you come alive and go do that.” -Rev. Howard Thurman

I didn’t always operate that way and honestly thought that sounded a little selfish. But when I really thought through it I recognized that this is when we can do our very best work and serve the world in the best way possible.

There’s also a quote that I love from Erma Bombeck. “When I stand before God at the end of my life I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left and could say I used everything you gave me.”
