Life & Work with Hayley Tharp

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hayley Tharp.

Hayley Tharp

Hi Hayley, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I had entered into a stage of life where I was burnt out in my career, didn’t feel like I had purpose, and felt like it was time to pivot. After doing some inner work, I started realizing that I was living an unaligned life. I found out so much about myself through astrology, numerology, and human design. With that information, I started to accept my intuition for what it had been telling me all along, which finally led me to start a podcast to help people with their own personal development and find purpose. In searching for something that lights me up & fills me with purpose, I can honestly say I have found it in helping others succeed. So that is how Inside Voice podcast was born!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, I’ve come across many struggles along the way. Fear being the main one, it’s so hard to jump into something completely new and out of your comfort zone. Fear of failure has always been top of mind. It was terrifying to leave behind a career that I worked so hard to build for seven years to something completely foreign that I had no experience in. Imposter syndrome has also been another struggle of mine. Typically, when people decide to start something like a podcast, it’s because they have a decent-sized following or are an expert in the topics they’re discussing. Well, I had neither, so this has been a full “trust the process” experience for me and having faith that I am making a difference because I wouldn’t have been called to do this for nothing.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
For the past 7 years of my life, I have been a wedding photographer. I am extremely proud of the business I had built and the success that came along with it. However, I felt that I had reached the point where that chapter of my life needed to close, and it was time to enter another. Since then, I have now decided to break into educating for aspiring wedding photographers and helping them achieve success in their business. Aside from the photography industry, I have also started my podcast, Inside Voice, which focuses on personal development and helping listeners reach their highest potential/find purpose. I am truly lit up by helping others and I hope to one day turn my passion into a career in coaching people through ways of astrology, numerology, and human design!

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
I am happiest when spending time with my family. I love to be outdoors, on our boat, or doing something creative. Something that also makes me happy is helping others succeed; one of my favorite quotes is, “Collaboration over competition.”
