Meet Brittany Rogers of St Louis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Rogers.

Brittany , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey started in 2015 as a hobby, making desserts and treats for people I loved. Over time, that passion grew into something bigger. In 2018, I stepped out more seriously with my business, and today I am building my brand, Southern Champagne Expressions, as a caterer and creative event service in the Metro East area.
My story has not been easy. I am a mother first, raising my children while also trying to build something meaningful for our future. My daughter, Ladybug, has autism, and being her mother has taught me patience, strength, advocacy, and unconditional love. My son also inspires me to keep going and show my children what determination looks like.
There have been seasons where I had to start over, push through fear, and keep moving even when I did not have all the support or resources I needed. But every challenge helped shape me. I learned to stop letting social media or other people’s opinions guide my vision. I started trusting myself, my gifts, and the work I do behind the scenes.
Today, I am focused on growing my catering business with purpose. I want my food, desserts, and event setups to bring joy, comfort, and a luxury Southern experience to every occasion. I am still growing, still learning, and still becoming, but I am proud of how far I have come. My story is about faith, motherhood, resilience, and building something beautiful from the ground up.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not always been a smooth road. My journey came with real challenges, from being a single mother, raising my children, learning how to balance home life, motherhood, and business, while still trying to build something meaningful. I have faced slow seasons, financial pressure, lack of transportation, and moments where I had to start over, regroup, and keep going even when things felt heavy.
One of my biggest challenges has been learning not to let social media or other people’s opinions guide my vision. I had to grow into trusting myself, making better decisions, and understanding that my journey does not have to look like anyone else’s. I have also learned how important it is to keep my business professional, require preorders and payments, and value the work I put into every order.
Even through the obstacles, I never stopped believing in what I was building. Every struggle taught me patience, strength, and discipline. I am still growing, but I am proud of how far I have come and the woman, mother, and business owner I am becoming.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am Brittany Rogers, the owner and creative behind Southern Champagne Expressions. I specialize in catering, dessert tables, treat boxes, mocktail pouches, fruit bowls, brunch boxes, and custom food displays for birthdays, showers, weddings, family gatherings, appreciation events, and private celebrations.
What I’m most proud of is building my brand from the ground up while being a full-time mother. My work is more than food — it is presentation, love, creativity, and a full experience. I put my heart into every order because I want people to feel celebrated when they receive my food or book my services.
What sets me apart is my story, my passion, and my attention to detail. I bring Southern flavor, elegant presentation, and a personal touch to every setup. I am known for making things look beautiful, taste good, and feel special for any occasion. My goal is to keep growing, keep learning, and bring something fresh and meaningful to my community through my business.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I see the catering and event food industry growing stronger over the next 5–10 years, especially for small businesses that offer personal, creative, and convenient services. Customers are looking for more than just food — they want a full experience, beautiful presentation, custom menus, themed setups, dessert bars, mocktail stations, family-style catering, and memorable touches for birthdays, weddings, showers, corporate events, and private gatherings.
A major shift will be toward convenience and off-premise service, such as pickup orders, preorder menus, delivery-style catering, meal prep, and packaged treat boxes. Restaurant industry reports show that takeout, delivery, and off-premise dining continue to be important to customers, especially younger generations.
NRA +1
I also believe customers will continue wanting food that feels personal and high quality, not basic or rushed. Trends like grazing tables, interactive stations, customized menus, mocktails, dessert shooters, and visually appealing setups will keep growing because people want events that look good, taste good, and feel special. Sustainability, local ingredients, and better packaging will also matter more over time.
