Meet Don-Diva Queen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Don-Diva Queen.

Hi Don-Diva, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hey yall its ya girl Don Diva Queen. I am so excited to do this interview and thanks for having me. I’m from the “Show Me State” born and raised out of Saint Louis Missouri.  Life has been great, and it’s also been real. I am so humble yet blessed and appreciative of all the life lessons and blessings I’ve endured in my life. I am an educated mother of three beautiful Z kids.  I have grown to become one of the most influential ladies of the Lou putting on for my city in a positive way. I am a motivational speaker, celebrity chef, musical artist/dancer and aspiring model. I enjoy reading, writing, music, dressing up, and setting trends. I always enjoying spending time with my family and friends and learning new things.

Growing up in a single-family home with my mom and my brother, I was a nerd. LOL.  I loved learning and attending school and summer programs. Life has been great throughout the years, and it’s also been real. I am so humble yet blessed and appreciate all of the blessings in my life. I take pride in being a mother to my three beautiful Z kids.

I grew up admiring my grandparents. It was so motivating to see them living life, managing, and owning businesses together, all while providing and traveling.  I remember my grandma used to cook every day for our family. I would cook sometimes with her and always cooked the turkey for Thanksgiving. My granny was a registered nurse, and my grandfather was a self-taught entrepreneur who owned his own bus company. My mother, a self-taught cosmetologist and go getter, taught me many life lessons as a developing young lady and always Kept it 100 with me. She has inspired me to be the best me and not worry about what people’s opinions are.

I grew up on music and movies. I remember growing up hearing the music blasting and knowing it was either time to clean up, mama song came on or she was cooking and in her zone. To this day I still think she’s a superwoman because she’s one of the strongest women I know. I recently wrote a song dedicated to her. It’s called “Baumm Baumm” and it’s on fire! Stay tuned it’s on the way to all platforms.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?

Life itself has been a journey however, you’re supposed to live and learn to better yourself. This year alone has had its ups and downs during a vicious pandemic. Adjusting to the new virtual world was a challenge however, it allowed me to bring visions to life. During this time, I was blessed to copartner and birth our catering company “Blessed Souls Catering”.  We were fortunate to work with “MADE Music Group” on several occasions catering for the Ying Yang Twins, Fresco Kane and Malik the King to name a few.

Being a victim of domestic violence, I became an advocate to help others who shared similar experiences and needed an outlet and/or resource connections to overcome the negativity and fear. I became that voice to say its ok if you need help, however it’s not ok to treat people disrespectfully and invade their privacy. Mental Health is real and its extremely important to manage. Unfortunately, we cannot control the actions of others. For every action there is a reaction.  I’m currently working on a project to help women victims of domestic violence through motivation.

Now imagine being diagnosed with Covid after all the above…  Three weeks hospitalized.

What doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger…… All because of GOD!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my fondest memories as a child was flying to Oahu, a Hawaiian Island with my family for my 16th birthday. I had a blast! I saw Pearl Harbor, The U.S.S. Memorial, the Dole Pineapple plantation, etc. It was a great experience sharing the beach with the gekkos of the island and sipping on pina coladas. We also went aboard the Hawaiian Cruise-line and enjoyed the Hawaiian entertainment, food and music. The weather is so nice there and the site is beautiful. I would love to visit the island again.
