Today we’d like to introduce you to Essence Henderson.
Hi Essence, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started out as an entrepreneur in the fashion industry at sixteen. I knew nothing about running a business which of course caused me to make a lot of mistakes. Over the years I was able to learn from those mistakes and in that process, I developed a real passion for beauty.
Fashion is what you wear but beauty is more about how you feel on the inside. Growing up I suffered from severe acne and so my confidence was challenged on a regular basis. Having sensitive skin limited the products that I was able to use. Finding gluten-free, all-natural ingredients was important because they are less likely to cause skin irritation.
Clearing my skin and regaining that confidence led me to create E4Essentials Skincare. Not only for those of us who struggle with acne but for men and women who like to grow and glow naturally!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road, one of the biggest struggles that I faced would have to be finding different ways to market my products. Identify who my target audience would be, and what would be the most effective way to educate our consumers.
With social media evolving every day and safety being a top priority, we’re able to build that rapport and actively listen to our consumer’s needs.

I specialize in skincare and business management. I’m most known for my creativity and ability to adapt in different environments.
I’m most proud of being able to push myself each and every day to reach my goals. I remember when I first started out as an entrepreneur, and as I stated before the road has not always been easy. Being able to help others feel confident about their skin while also bringing my dreams to life, the feeling is unbearable!
What sets me apart from others is that I’m always willing to provide mentorship and advice to aspiring entrepreneur’s. I like to use my journey as a learning experience with super high hopes for the future!
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory would have to be, spending time with my family for the holidays. It was always heartwarming seeing everybody come together. We listen to music, eat really good food and there is normally a lot of debating and having fun.
Overall we enjoy each other’s company and with our family growing each and every year, I’m excited to see what memories we’ll make in the future.
