Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelly Hart-green
Hi Kelly, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
-Kelly started riding when she was a child, and always had a passion for horses.
-Got her first horse at the age of 13, his name was Murdock aka When in Doubt and he was an OTTB.
-Started showing horses at the age of 12.
-Was offered a scholarship to William Woods University at the age 15.
-Went to william woods to pursue her degree in Equestrian Studies.
-Graduated from William Woods University in 2002 with a Bachelor’s degree in Equestrian Science.
-Following graduation, Kelly’s parents, Dr. Gilbert Hart and Nancy Hart, purchased the farm in Eureka, Missouri in the summer of 2002 to create Hart Farms Equestrian Center, which is now Providence at Hart Farms Equestrian Center after Kelly’s second horse Jeremy (show name was Providence, meaning God provides).
– Kelly started Hart Farms Equestrian Center at the age of 25, as a single mother with a 14 month old daughter, Madison Hart.
-Our farm has been operating for 23 years by family, and is currently run by mother and daughter.
-Kelly competed in college at the local and rated level horse shows successfully and found herself working with horses that were troubled. Horses that needed a fresh start in their career.
-She has strived to have a riding lesson program for serious riders who want to learn the ins and outs of not just riding, but proper horsemanship and the care of the horses
