Meet K’Sean Collard

Today we’d like to introduce you to K’Sean Collard.

Hi K’Sean, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
Nava Inc. is a legacy in the making. The seeds that were planted in our company were rooted way before I started. The only thing left for me to do was to take all I’ve been taught and begin to create generational creativity and wealth.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like all entrepreneurs, financial support has and will always play a big role when stepping out on your own. There is a lot that goes into our Nava Inc. Clothing brand and Music Record Label. With that being said financial stability is a must. All the while we continue to produce and support other local artists while having a list of artists to provide for on our roster. The time spent on building and crafting our business has involved sleepless nights, and perfecting our brand to the early hours of the morning.

One of the many challenges that I am now realizing is I’m having to work ten times harder than I’ve worked at someone else corporate company because being your own boss means to continue through with your vision, even if no one else can see it. However, I’ve learned that finishing projects and success make makes it all worth it.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Nava Inc. is a family brand. We have a variety of creative things we specialize in such as clothing, music, and mobile engineering for artist development. Maintaining a wide range of responsibilities as its struggling moments, but we’re most proud of all we’ve accomplished and the drive we are determined to have. Our artists in our roster are family we support and there’s love in our business.

There’s still so much room for growth and everyone plays a part in that, this is what set us apart from any other label or entertainment company. The authenticity we share with our community and those who play a starring role in keeping this brand as genuine as possible.

There’s no other way I’d rather run our company with none other than the supportive and creative people we have on our team.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
For starters, I would like to give credit to my father Kandy Collard Sr., and the founder of the company who breathes life into this dream. There’s no limit to what he’s capable of, and I’m grateful for the motivation and creative thought process that he’s passed down to us all.

I also want to acknowledge my mother Vernetta Peters who has been one of my biggest cheerleaders who’s given nothing but support and the greatest hype man without question. So, because this is a family business I can’t leave out my sister, Kandyce Collard who is the president of our clothing line, my brother, Kandy Collard Jr. for being our manufacturer, and lastly, my youngest sister K’Moni Collard who is the company, Blogger and Publicist.

While having a growing business the extra support is always much needed. With that being said, I must give credit to
Chance Goforth was my very first manager while I lived in Los Angeles. I would also like to give my condolences to Chance and his family. He was a huge inspiration and someone who I admired. Huge acknowledgment is owed to my younger cousin and also the mastermind behind our logos Chase Jackson. I would like to give credit to Shanice Monee for being the second manager I’ve had and my current business partner.

Credits are deserving to all my talented and gifted artists from Big Homie Cam, SMGTrip, Jerik, RudyGotTheChop, JaysTheGenius, and me Devine. Huge thanks to LMO of Tied Tight for also being a huge support and producer with me. Lastly, I’d love to give credit to my engineers, photographers, and other artists with who we’ve collaborated in the past.
