Hi Mike, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
We started Alibi Cookies in the basement of a church that closed due to Covid-19. We were only shipping cookies across the country until we got our first cookiebot. I was going through Facebook at 3 am and came across a post about vending machines in Japan! I knew I loved cookies and wanted to see if we could place cookies in a vending machine and keep them warm. Then it exploded! We then used all of our funds from the CookieBot (Warm Cookie Vending Machine) to open our storefront in Dogtown, MO in January 2021 then our Jefferson City location in May 2021. Our St. Charles Location is slated to open in November 2021. Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
With Covid-19 it has slowed business and there is not much help for businesses that opened up during the pandemic. It has been hard some months to pay all the bills but we continue on!
We’ve been impressed with Alibi Cookies, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are a Warm Cookie Shop that specializes in having on-demand warm cookies, ice cream, and cookie shakes! We offer delivery, pick up and 24/7 access to warm cookies from our CookieBots. That is what sets us apart; our Warm Cookie Vending Machines!
