Today we’d like to introduce you to Nikki Serenity.
Nikki, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I always wanted to be a model since even before high school. I had a friend who helped me get into it. I started out modeling in January of 2016. Inevitable acting came along with it, then brand ambassador work, and then influencer work. Now I do all of the above. It’s really great getting to do creative and flexible jobs.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing has been smooth at all. A lot of people think that modeling is just standing in front of the camera and looking pretty but it’s a lot of hard work. Especially for someone like me who has struggled with chronic pain for years. It can actually be painful as well. There’s always a lot of creepy, photographers, and fans, scams, etc. It is also very common for models to get pressured into doing things they don’t want to do. When they’re new and young, it’s harder to say no.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a model, actress, influencer, and brand ambassador. A lot of people know me for having armpit hair, which is crazy to me lol. I was on an episode of Dr. Phil, 2 articles in The Daily Mail, and an episode on the Snapchat show called The Positivity Fix, all for modeling with armpit hair.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do. You can make it far without doing crazy things. You can be a successful model without getting naked. There are people there who are willing to help and give advice so you don’t have to be alone. It’s going to take a lot of hard work and energy but if you keep investing, it will be worth it.
