Meet Sean Thomas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sean Thomas.

Hi Sean, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Well, it all started a long time ago in a far, far palace, lol. But seriously, it all started when I was younger. I used to love drawing & I would also love to go with my mom to the Radio Station as she was a Radio Personality (& still is). The drawing birthed my love for Graphic Design & going to the studio with my mom sparked a love for radio. Not going to lie; when I first started going with my mother to the studio, I would be so bored and didn’t wanna be there, but then when the Board Operators. (Al McDonald & Eric Rogers) started letting me see some things on the board, and I got to listen to the interviews and more behind the scenes; it sparked an interest in me to go into Radio/Media. Since then, I have been operating in Media, whether TV, Radio, or Graphic Design. I have been able to do some amazing things in this lane.

Please talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned. Looking back, has it been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Has it been a smooth road? Not at all; it’s been a little bumpy, a little crusty, and a little rocky, but I appreciate what I have been through and where I am going. Speaking of having a bumpy road, that helped me get started fully in Graphic Design. Around 2006, I started doing Christian Hip Hop and writing music. I had access to a studio and beats and could record music, but the artwork needed to be included. I didn’t have the money to go out and hire someone to do my artwork, so I learned how to do it myself. Learning things on my own in that area helped because now I can make a living off Graphic Design and help others who may want to travel down this lane.

Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
This is a fun question because I often ask this as people discover new things I can do. I officially consider myself a Media Personality. I launched two companies, ‘Scooda Ink: Graphics & More & ‘Praise 365’.

Scooda Ink: Graphics & More is a Media Company that specializes in: Flyer Creation, Logos, Printing Services, T-Shirt Design/Print, Photography, Mobile Filmmaking, Voiceovers & more. I created this company in 2016 and, since then, have been able to work with so many large companies such as St. Louis American, KSDK Channel 5 & H&R Block. We have helped bring our client’s vision to life through media.

My love for gospel music can be on full display with the launch of this radio station & it’s continuing to grow stronger every day! Praise 365 is an Internet Radio Station that features uplifting music, inspirational programs, and encouraging content for listeners of all ages. This company was launched in 2020 & has been able to partner with: Aldi’s Grocery Store, St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Regional Empowerment Coalition & AllTru Credit Union.

What’s next?
My plans for the future are to grow my business & become a national brand! I’m looking forward to seeing the new clients, partners, and friends I meet to help along the way to network and grow together! I have always been a person who likes to shoot for the stars in life, so I’m expecting great things for my companies shortly. I want also to create opportunities for the next generation of content creators who may need more money to invest in themselves but still want to pursue their dreams.
