Meet Stephanie Williams of Crazy Deals and Steals

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Williams.

Hi Stephanie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve been couponing on and off since 2011. And a difficult breakup in 2019 lead me to creating content around couponing. I needed something positive to occupy my time, and since I was couponing anyway, I turned my couponing into content.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I didn’t have any help starting off. No one to teach me the ins and outs of creating content, the algorithm, keyword research, etc… so I had to learn all of this on my own. I started researching and taking notes, applying what I’ve learned and putting it into practice! But it hasn’t been easy, with any business there will be sleepless nights, stress and worries. But I continue to push forward as I do with anything that I’m passionate about.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Crazy Deals and Steals?
Crazy Deals and Steals started from my need to have something positive to occupy my time during a difficult breakup. What began as couponing for my own household quickly turned into a platform where I share real, easy-to-follow deals and savings tips with a growing community across social media. I encourage everyone to take part in couponing, regardless of anyone’s financial situation. Because who really wants to pay $10 for toilet paper when we can pay $3, and put the $7 difference towards your next family vacation or Christmas gifts for your children. Couponing is no longer clipping coupons from your local newspaper— couponing has digitized making things easier for the everyday family to grab a great deal without a lot of work. Clip the coupon on the stores app, enter your phone number at checkout and boom- you’ve got savings!
I search the store ads weekly and find the best deals on everyday essentials. We’re talking paper products, hair care, oral care, body wash, laundry detergent & more. Then I break the deals down so anyone can do them—no extreme couponing experience needed. What sets my brand apart is trust and authenticity. I’ve built long lasting relationships with a lot of my followers. We see ourselves as family. We laugh, we joke, and we have fun all in the name of couponing!
I think what resonates most with people isn’t just the deals—it’s the community. Being able to help families, in and out of state, with essentials and support local animal shelters has become a really meaningful part of what I do. What started as sharing deals turned into being able to help families and animals in need by donating items from my couponing stockpile—That part of the work means the most to me. Without the Crazy Deals and Steals platform, none of this would be possible.
What I’m most proud of is the community I’ve built and the messages I receive from people who tell me they’re saving money, stretching their budgets, and feeling more confident shopping. Crazy Deals and Steals isn’t just about discounts—it’s about helping people feel empowered when it comes to their money.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I love most about St. Louis is the sense of community. People here genuinely show up for each other. There’s a strong culture of generosity, whether it’s neighbors helping neighbors, supporting local businesses, or rallying around causes that matter.

Like many cities, St. Louis faces challenges around access and equity. I’d love to see more resources and support reach the communities that need them most.
