Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryan Ferguson.
Hi Bryan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I grew up in the small southern Illinois town of Woodlawn my whole life until I was able to be mobile. I got my haunt to start with the Woodlawn Haunted Woods from 2007-2015; in 2016, I graduated to the next step up to being professional when Raven’s Curse Haunted House opened in Centralia, IL. There, I learned how to perfect my craft in acting and entertaining in the haunted house industry and met some note-worthy people along the way. Unfortunately, that haunt closed after five years of being open, so I thought I was done, but then I got contacted by a manager at The Darkness HH in STL who was friends with the management from Raven’s Curse, who also came to STL after they closed. From there, I could upgrade my character’s details and buy costumes to build myself up. Since then, I’ve been acting in the Que Line outside of the 3 major Haunts in St. Louis, and this year, I’m working to travel act to get myself out there more and maybe help out some haunts and actors along the way! With my experience and social media, I can bring exposure to your haunt and help your actors if they want it! Let’s work together this year to get the frights to your haunt! (St. Louis, Chicago & Indianapolis areas)
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There are always troubles and trials when it comes to growing a business, like friends stabbing you in the back, but falling on your face and picking yourself back up is the most important thing.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar with what you do, what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a traveling actor, so I bring my 17 years of experience and personal characters to your haunted house, and I post about it on my socials to get more exposure to your haunt as well! Not only that, but I can help your actors with anything they may need acting-wise!
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I think the most significant risk I’ve taken so far is throwing my name onto online sites to get my name known so that I can build my business. It’s scary, and many negative people are out there, but you have to stay focused on the goal.
Pricing:
