Today we’d like to introduce you to Coco Chou.
Hi Coco, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m an international student from Taiwan. Studying Public Relations and Interactive Marketing in Cal State Northridge. I love traveling around the world. It expands my International views. I like to talk to different people seeing different cultures in the community. I hope I can have a job in LA since as an international student, it is hard to get a job, but I will try my best to break the barrier.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It needs motivation or impulse to decide to study abroad. Come alone to study and know the new environment takes time. Four years ago, I’m just a freshman year, an 18-year-old student. In past years I embrace challenges in language, class, and life. I have become a brave and individual person now.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Personally, I really like to talk to different people, fix the problem and outdoor events, this is the reason why I study Public Relations and Interactive Marketing. I specialize in influencer marketing and influencer relations. I can be an active person and also can be a quiet person. As an International student, this makes my public relations skill more international. I am most proud of speaking two major languages in the world. I’m lucky to use this ability to benefit my professional.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love Los Angeles so much. No matter is weather, environment, or life. All are good and advanced. I don’t like I need to drive anywhere I have to go. This point is totally different with Taiwan. I can walk 5 minutes to Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation Metro every day, and it is convenient.
