Hi Heather, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hey y’all!
I’m Heather, mama of two little ones (Miles and Lottie) and the face behind @2inthelou. I launched this account 2 years ago after falling in love with St. Louis. Originally from Texas (hence the “y’all” 😉), St. Louis has been my home for quite some time now – both my littles were born here!
I love sharing about family outings, events, everyday mom life, all things local.
I’m a self-proclaimed foodie and savvy saver, always on the lookout for great food and deals.
But beyond that, I thrive on connecting with fellow moms and helping others make those vital connections too!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It was my first time ever moving away from home. I left all my family and lifelong friends back in Dallas when I moved to Saint Louis to be with my husband. Moving somewhere new is always tough, even when you’re all grown up. I had to really learn how to put myself out there.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m passionate about highlighting local businesses and inspiring moms to engage with their communities – with and without their kids. Moms deserve date nights and nights out!
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My husband and kids are my biggest fans! They are constantly encouraging and supporting me.
