Rising Stars: Meet Ryan Spears of St. Charles County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Spears.

Hi Ryan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m an artist and creative from St. Louis. My journey started with a passion for creativity, I always had a vision whether it was through music or fashion. I began making music for fun then it quickly turned into a way to express my thoughts and real-life experiences from making money and elevating, to heartbreaks and relationships, to the mindset it takes to go from surviving to thriving.

Alongside my music, I launched LaHeadGear, a streetwear and hat brand that represents betting on yourself, staying fly, and embracing consistent growth. Whether it’s through my lyrics or my designs, everything I create reflects the lifestyle of turning vision into reality.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is doubt — second-guessing my own work. That’s something a lot of people don’t talk about enough. From the outside, things might look perfect and put together, but behind the scenes, you’re stressed, feeling like you’re not living up to your full potential. That kind of pressure can really get in your head.

Another challenge has been learning to move at my own pace without comparing my journey to others. In this game, it’s easy to fall into the trap of looking sideways instead of staying focused on your own path. I’ve had to remind myself that my timing is mine, and as long as I keep showing up and growing, I’m doing exactly what I’m supposed to.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m an artist and entrepreneur from St. Louis. I make music that speaks to growth, hustle, and real-life experiences. I also run LaHeadGear, a streetwear brand built around purpose and confidence. What sets me apart is how I blend authenticity with motivation in everything I create from bars to business

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I learned is to go at your own pace, not to be embarrassed when chasing your dreams and to just be your authentic self.
