Story & Lesson Highlights with Candace Kluba

We recently had the chance to connect with Candace Kluba and have shared our conversation below.

Candace, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
When my alarm goes off I silently focus on gratitude and my breath for a few moments. Then I listen to a meditation and do some stretching before getting up. I make a warm golden immune boosting beverage and journal gratitude and intentions for the day and then I read for about 10 minutes. After reading, I engage in some exercise with affirmations. Then I take my shower and get ready to leave for work. The first 60 minutes are the most important for me!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Candace Kluba and I am your Self-Love and Well-Being Mentor. I am the one that helps women turn inward and reconnect to herself for the power to be who she truly wants to be. This empowerment guides her to showing up in the world more authentically. One way I mentor is through an incredible one-of-a-kind class called intenSati. intenSati is a healing practice meant to shift your mindset using mindfulness, movement, and positive language. Participants will leave feeling empowered with awareness of their thoughts and attitudes to consciously choose powerful, positive ones that will help with healing and regulation. No one else teaches a class like this in the tri-state area. Another way I mentor in a different capacity is through a journal I created. This journal doesn’t just have writing prompts, but instead qr codes for videos of practices I use to reconnect and stay connected to myself on a daily basis. My journal gives you the feeling of taking a mini-class with me. You will learn some amazing strategies but on your own time and in your own space and it only requires 5-10 minutes a day. What makes my work special is that I am a walking breathing product of using the tools I teach to pull myself out of life on autopilot in a trench of fake happiness.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
Oh this is my favorite question. This was the best story I rewrote for myself! I believed as a child and the first 10 years of my adult life that “I couldn’t sit still.” It was this belief that drove me to living on autopilot completely disconnected from my self. When I rewrote this story, everything in my life started changing for the better!

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
Without a doubt, the defining wounds in my life were losing a pregnancy and delivering a baby that had passed on in my womb. I continue healing through finding and using my power to stay connected to all I am and all there is, rather than focusing on what couldn’t be and what isn’t.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
Guiding others to love themselves first. I truly don’t think its possible to move through this world with love for others or feeling love from others until you love yourself exactly as you are. I believe we have to love ourselves and understand our worth with the same unconditional love we are born with.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
I hope what would remain is the way I helped people find their way to a little more love for themselves and the way I made them feel in my presence.
