Dr. Kneeshe , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends, and community because knowledge multiplies when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I’m Dr. Kneeshe Parkinson — a passionate leader, wealth educator, and community advocate dedicated to empowering others to rise, rebuild, and realize their full potential. As the founder of KneesheSpeaks.Solutions and R.I.S.E. IMPACT, my mission is to help individuals and families strengthen their financial literacy, develop sustainable wealth strategies, and build confidence in both their personal and professional lives.
What makes my work unique is that it’s rooted in lived experience. I turned personal trials into purpose — transforming moments of struggle into a movement of empowerment. My journey from overcoming financial hardship to becoming a Certified Wealth Professional inspired me to create platforms that educate, uplift, and connect people to the tools they need to thrive.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Meet Dr. Kneeshe Parkinson
Currently, I’m expanding programs through R.I.S.E. IMPACT to increase financial literacy, support economic mobility, and empower underrepresented communities. Every initiative I lead is designed to spark growth, inspire leadership, and create lasting impact — because when we rise together, we all win.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
A moment that really shaped how I see the world
There have been several moments that deeply influenced how I view the world and my purpose in it. Meeting Dr. Anthony Fauci reminded me of the power of leadership grounded in compassion and truth — especially in public health.
Traveling to Uganda to speak with the resilient women of the Raikai District in 2021 during COVID 19 opened my eyes to the strength and perseverance found in community, even amid limited resources.
Being part of a storytelling and video production team taught me how sharing authentic stories can heal, educate, and connect people across cultures
. Receiving my honorary doctoral degree this July was a full-circle moment — a recognition not just of my work, but of my journey through faith, resilience, and purpose.
And traveling to Munich, Germany to speak at the IAS Conference expanded my global perspective, reminding me that our voices matter on every stage, and our impact reaches far beyond where we start.
Each of these experiences shaped my mission to serve, inspire, and use my voice to empower others to rise.
What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
Life often shapes us through both triumphs and trials. The moments that wound us most deeply can also become the foundation for our greatest growth and purpose. Reflecting on your personal journey — the challenges, losses, and lessons that have defined who you are today — what have been the defining wounds of your life, and in what ways have you found healing, strength, or transformation through them?
Inspiration for me has never come from one single person or moment — it has been a journey shaped by life’s challenges, faith, and the powerful examples of those who came before me. Above all, my greatest inspiration comes from my parents, whose love, perseverance, and faith molded the woman I am today. Losing them both within 212 days of each other was the hardest experience of my life, yet even in their absence, their legacy continues to guide me daily. My parents taught me the meaning of strength through humility, the importance of compassion, and the power of resilience. They were both living examples of what it means to keep going, even when life feels uncertain. Their encouragement gave me the courage to pursue higher education, leadership opportunities, and entrepreneurship — not just for personal success, but to create impact and open doors for others. Every achievement I’ve earned is a reflection of their belief in me. Beyond my family, I’ve been deeply inspired by the communities I serve. For over two decades in healthcare and community work, I’ve met people who’ve faced adversity with dignity and determination. Their stories of hope — from patients fighting for better health to families rebuilding after hardship — constantly remind me that purpose is born through service. Working in healthcare and social services has shown me the strength of the human spirit and the power of compassion-driven leadership. Another source of inspiration has been my faith. My relationship with God has carried me through grief, uncertainty, and growth. It has grounded me in grace and reminded me that every obstacle is an opportunity for transformation. My faith shapes the way I lead, communicate, and build relationships — always striving to move with integrity, empathy, and gratitude. I’m also inspired by the women and men who rise above circumstance to rewrite their stories. Whether it’s a single mother providing for her children, a young professional pursuing a dream against all odds, or a community leader fighting for equity — these individuals motivate me to keep pushing boundaries. They reflect the same courage I aim to embody in my own journey. Ultimately, I’m inspired by purpose — the understanding that every experience, even the painful ones, serves a greater good. The losses I’ve endured and the lessons I’ve learned have given me a renewed sense of mission: to use my voice, my education, and my platforms to empower others. As I move forward, especially with rebranding my upcoming book project, I carry with me the strength of my parents, the faith that anchors me, and the people who remind me daily why resilience matters. My story — like so many others — is proof that from pain can come purpose, and from purpose, impact.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I deeply admire Michelle Obama — not just for her accomplishments, but for the grace, authenticity, and strength she carries in every season of her life. She leads with heart, humility, and purpose. Her ability to stay grounded while breaking barriers inspires me daily. Michelle Obama represents resilience, compassion, and the power of using your voice to uplift others. She reminds me that true leadership isn’t about titles or power — it’s about impact, character, and the courage to be unapologetically yourself.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
If I retired tomorrow, my customers would miss the heart, energy, and personal connection I bring to everything I do. They would miss my passion for empowering people to believe in themselves, take control of their financial future, and rise beyond their current circumstances. I’ve always made it my mission to not just provide services — but to pour into people, to listen, and to help them see what’s possible. My customers often tell me they feel seen, valued, and inspired after every interaction. I believe that’s what they would miss most — my authenticity, encouragement, and unwavering commitment to seeing them win in life and in business.
