Story & Lesson Highlights with Nicole Drewes of Richmond Heights

We recently had the chance to connect with Nicole Drewes and have shared our conversation below.

Nicole, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
That were just like all the other wellness businesses. We’re not…..we provide customized treatments each time a client comes in to see us. We will take the time to get to know you and your lifestyle so that we are able to create treatment plans that will serve you and your health the best.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a 17 year licensed esthetician and built STLskin+body to provide treatments that give med spa quality results with the atmosphere and relaxation of a day spa. The best of both worlds rolled into one!

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My husband, Josh, believed in me since the day we met. Although I knew I could build this business. his support and strength has really lifted me up to be a better person and esthetician.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
A couple years after Covid I was struggling to find the right people to join the spa. I felt like it was hopeless. I persevered and now have 3 massage therapists and an esthetician that have joined me and my mission.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Besides my business and clients of course, my family and close friends are my priority. I am very close with them and ask their advice on everything.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I am 100% doing what I was born to do. I may have not started this career until I was 30 but I have never looked back. Being an esthetician is the best job in the world. After 17 years I still absolutely love what I do.
